I recently contributed a book chapter to IGI Books’ latest publication, Wearable Technology and Mobile Innovations for Next-Generation Education. This book is an authoritative reference source on the development and implementation of wearables within learning and training environments, emphasizing the valuable resources offered by these advances. Focusing on technical considerations, lessons learned, and real-world examples, this book is ideally designed for instructors, researchers, upper-level students, and policy makers interested in the effectiveness of wearable applications. My chapter is entitled “Wearable Technology Spending: A Strategic Approach to Decision-Making” and is meant to serve as an informative resource for education leaders and presents strategic and research-validated approaches for procuring and supporting wearable technologies. Please share the link below with your campus librarian and any colleagues interested in developing a deeper understanding of the newest advances of technology in education.
